The device is a virtual reality system which is comfortably handheld. Can be used even if you wear glasses. Preferably use contact lenses if its a option.
Journey
Along the pathway the medieval world is visible through the device. Just stop, raise the device to your view and see the long lost history from the place you are standing.
Experience
The visible and on-ear audible content of the artificial world gives a thorough overview of what the medieval castle could have been at its peak.
To see the artificial reality scene the device needs to be lifted up to persons eyes. The audio earpiece provides ambience and historic descriptions as an audioguide.
It is stated clearly to only look into the VR scene when stopped and standing still. This eliminates the danger of tripping and falling down the hill.
The experience is specially designed not to be comfortable when walking and looking into the virtual scene for multiple safety and technical performance reasons.
The 1 km tour lasts about 50 minutes. The journey consists all of the major parts of the fortification area.
About 70% is accessible to the common wheelchair.
The experience is still working when using an umbrella. Currently we don't offer umbrella as a extra item but we intend to provide it later as season progresses.
